Movies & Music

Everybody seems to be in awe of Amitabh Bachhan..And I am no different. This man has not lost the charm a bit even after so many years.'Buntly N Bubly' is a bad movie but you just get your money back when you see the trademark dance steps of Big B and his facial expression.I am eagerly waiting for 'Sarkar' and I have huge expectation from this movie. The promos look really impressive and Big B is looking intimidating and authorative.I have a couple of movies pending to watch.I think I will like both 'Parineeta' and 'Paheli'.I like Vidhu Vinod Chopra's movies.Parinda,1942 A lovestory,Mission Kashmir,Munnabhai MBBS all are sensible movies. And I am sure Paineeta will be good one.Though I don't have any hope from Shahrukh Khan,I have faith in Amol Palekar.I am just not getting company and also the tickets in weekend to watch these movies.Anybody interested to give company?

Music is integral part of my life.I just can't do without music.I am sort of person who can't stay lonely. If I am not asleep I need something in background. It may be either friends or music or sports.Recently I am listening to 'Chanda ki Doli' by Sonu Nigam and 'Aadat' by the band 'Jal'.Sonu has done a fair job as music director and Jal is simply superb.I generally get obsessed with a particular album for some period of time and then switch to other.Music for me is not complete without the mention of 'Indian Ocean'.This band has given a new defintion to music with their earthy, free flowing, hypnotic music.

Calvin N Hobbes

I just love Calvin N Hobbes.Everybody is a Calvin, only thing is that most of them don't realise. Here are few of my favourite quotes.

"Do you hate being a girl? What's it like? Is it like being a bug?I imagine bugs and girls have a dim perception that nature played a cruel trick on them, but they lack the intelligence to comrehend the magnitude of it."-Calvin

"Susie, if you want to see your doll again, leave $100 in this envelope by the tree out front. Do not call the police. You cannot trace us. You cannot find us. Sincerely, Calvin."-Calvin

"When I grow up, I'm not going to read the newspaper and I'm not going to follow complex issues and I'm not going to vote. That way I can complain when the government doesn't represent me. Then, when everything goes down the tubes, I can say the system doesn't work and justify my further lack of participation."-Calvin

"As far as I'm concerned, if something is so complicated that you can't explain it in 10 seconds, then it's probably not worth knowing anyway."-Calvin

"I don't need to compromise my principles, because they don't have the slightest bearing on what happens to me anyway."-Calvin

"True friends are hard to come by...I need more money."-Calvin

"What I like is when you're looking and thinking and looking and thinking... And suddenly you wake up."-Calvin

"I'd hate to have a kid like me."-Calvin

"What assurance do I have that your parenting isn't screwing me up?"-Calvin

Couple on bike

Whenever I see a couple on a bike with the girl holding the guy tight, many questions come to my mind.

1.Is it a way to tell the world how much she loves him?
2.Is she afraid of falling and thats why she is holding him tight?
3.Is the guy an amateur driver ,hence she is giving him the confidense by holding him?
4.Are they doing any scientific study of different positions to attain maximum speed?
5.Is ISI behind this act?
6.Am I the only one who think like this?
7.The obvious reason?

Whatever the reason I find it very unacceptable.May be you will call me old fashioned or may say that its a case of sour grapes, but that won't justify this act.

Aise hi

Abhi abhi mujhe Amitabh Bachhan ka woh gana yaad aya..'Ek rahin Ir Ek rahin bir'.Aaj kal sab blogging karne lag gaye to humne socha chalo hum bhi try karte hain..

One thought came to my mind..Why the mundu we come to this earth..Well if you are wondering what's the meaning of 'mundu' then please aks the director of 'Jhankar Beats' and let me know.Between I just checked the dictionary after I wrote the last line and pleased to know that there was no entry.

So to continue with my thought, have we come on this earth to work or to earn money or to be in the rat race to beat someone?Though I don't go to temples and pray often ,I beleive in GOD and wonder why GOD allows people to suffer?Or its one way he makes sure that we remember who the real big BOSS is.

Enough for today and let me end this with this quote.

'Any task worth doing was worth doing yesterday'
