Slain

These are lines from a Mehdi Hasan's ghazal. Never came across such hard hitting lines.

Navak andaz jidhar deeda-e-janaa honge,
Neem bismil kai honge kai bejaan honge.

English Translation:

Wherever the eyes of my beloved fall,
Some are wounded, others slain.

Navak = Arrow
Deedaa = Eye, Sight
Neem = Half, Margosa,Middle, Quasi
Bismil = The Dead One, Sacrificial Animal, A Lover
