Doordarshan Days
Doordarshan had it's past. And a bright one. The present of DD can't ruin the beautiful memories with which I have grown up as a kid. There were many great serials, but somehow I still have the hazy picture of the following not so popular ones.
1. Kshitij Yeh Nahin
It was a mature love story between a widow played by Supriya Pilgaonkar and her business rival(Don't remember the name). Rajit Kapoor was her husband and was seen in flashback. She liked that guy but always pretended otherwise. At last her father-in-law and the guy plotted a fake accident which let her emotion come out.
It was just 13 episodes and did finish unlike Ekta Kapoor's serials.
2. Talash
I don't remeber much about this serial apart from the title song. If I am right the song used was 'Tum Pukar Lo' from movie 'Khamoshi'. The story was about a brother going in search for his younger brother.
3. Chekov Ki Duniya
This serial was based on stories of Anton Chekhov. There was an episode where Anu Kapoor tries to seduce a woman just by plain talking. That was simply amazing.
4. Badla
It was based on two brothers who fight against the system. I used to like the title song a lot. The lyrics was something like this.
Juwan agar kat jaye to lahoo pukarega badla
Mange se nahin milta to hum chhin ke lete hain badla

wow, i havent head of any of them. though chekov ki duniya sure sounded interesting.
i remember this show called yug or was it mashaal.. hmm. need to jog my memory for this.
Chekov ki Duniya was quite good. The name 'Mashaal' sounds familiar but not too sure.

Yup, all those happy memories now remain only as memories :( ....... :)
