Gulaal - The Masterpiece

There are very few movies which can compel me to write about them. I happened to watch Gulaal yesterday and was completely blown away. It is complex, powerful, humorous, courageous, engaging, fascinating and whatever other adjectives you can think of. I felt like watching poetry on screen. Music and lyrics are awesome and acting is superb by almost all characters. Piyush Mishra as the eccentric poet Prithvi Bana, Kay Kay Menon as the rebel Dukey Bana and Abhimanyu Singh as Rananjay Singh deserve special mention. I wonder how this kind of cinema doesn't go to Oscar. Anyway we should be thankful to director like Anurag Kashyap who dares to make movies like Black Friday and Gulaal.
